October 26, 2015

img_7892-5On Wednesday October 21st, I had the great honor of representing Small Business Retailers at the House of Representatives hearing on EMV credit card adoption, which has been slow to be adopted, has been expensive, and highly confusing. Moreover, on October 1st, the banks arbitrarily shifted the liability for fraud to retailers that had not yet completed the process to EMV readers. I was on a panel of four in front of Chairman Chabot’s committee. All in all it was an amazing experience despite the nerves! As an immigrant to America, it represented a most special moment – in America, even the smallest of constituencies can be heard. You can watch my speech in the House Small Business Committee Video (my bit starts at the 16th minute and is 5 minutes long followed later by questions).

Below are more pictures from this fabulous day!
